We're a Family!

At long last, we are now a whole family once again! Mark flew back to Charleston briefly the middle of November to help me tie up a few last minute details with our house. After he hit the road in my Jeep, along with Petey and Lucy, Molly and I had almost a week to finish our goodbyes and bring closure to our rapidly ending life as residents of the southeast. It took so incredibly long to get our house sold. And still it felt like we were running out of time to see people. Thanksgiving Day, our last full day in SC, was particularly interesting!
We've now been living in Port Orchard, WA for a little over a month. I'd like to think Molly and I have adjusted quite well to life in the Pacific Northwest! Catch a glimpse of my personal ramblings on the matter at my tea party. Molly hasn't demonstrated any difficulty, whatsoever, to this incredible change. As I've probably mentioned before, I try to avoid a strict schedule with her; even more so with these recent cross country trips. What I have managed to keep relatively consistent is our routine. We're in a completely new environment and she's such a little trooper. I can't begin to describe how much I appreciate this little girl and her precious demeanor!
What has come and gone, is Molly's 2nd birthday! I had intended to post on the 17th to commemorate the occasion. At that point in time there were still stacks of boxes left to unpack that simply could not be ignored. We had a relatively slow paced day since it was just the two of us. Of course it was a day full of Disney princess activities. I fixed all of her favorite meals and she opened gifts specifically meant for her birthday. We've already encountered several well-intended gifts meant for both her birthday and Christmas. Sigh.
Something that I think may be experiencing a drastic change in the near future is her nap time. Which I will delve into with another post. Just wanted to make sure I took the opportunity while I was thinking about it to get an update in about all of the new things happening for the Ogren Family!
